Our last day in Cabo consisted of, yep you guessed it. Pool lounging and lunch at the Palapa Bar. There was plenty of good whale activity in front of the hotel in the early afternoon. When I returned to the room, I was delighted to see hummingbirds feasting on the patio flowers. Can you spot one?

Another day, another pool of solitude. Technically we haven’t been alone any of the days, but if I can capture a picture of an empty pool, I feel like it counts.
Today was a HOT one. I haven’t really been checking the weather because all the days have been so beautiful, but today was something else.

Another day, another relaxing morning at the pool. I forwent sunscreen today and sat in the shade of the umbrella for a few hours. My shoulders got a little toasty, but I wasn’t sure if that was from the umbrella not filtering the sunlight acceptably, the two quick dips I took in the pool, or the walk between the room, pool, and restaurant. Probably a combo of all three. I get to a point where I just feel gross and don’t want to slather on sunscreen or sit in the blazing hot sun. The tan will be gone in a week, so why force myself to be miserable and hot for the sake of a week of bronzed skin? Also now that I’ve been soaking up the sun for two summers in a row in my own pool, it takes away the thrill of going somewhere sunny with a pool. #firstworldproblems
For lunch we ventured to the Palapa Bar. I ate the steak tacos. Man, have I been missing out ordering chicken these past few days. The steak is where it’s at.

After finishing my blog last night, I lounged on the patio. It was warm and there weren’t any bugs; perfect for reading. There are little mini solar powered tiki torches everywhere which give the place a cozy feel. It gets dark so early, and everything is eerily quiet. Either everyone turns in early or they’re all in town partying.
We relaxed poolside into the early afternoon of Tuesday before hitting up the Palapa Bar for lunch. I had chicken nachos and a piña colada once again. Then it was back to the room for a reprieve from the heat before our sunset cruise.

On Monday morning I slept in until around 9. I think my body was catching up on sleep after the last few crazy weeks. cklahr was already at the pool, so I took time making breakfast and enjoying coffee. I even cast my YouTube Music 2022 recap playlist to the TV for some background noise.
I slathered my body with sunscreen and lounged in the sun poolside for about 90 minutes. My face got a little toasty, but other than that I came out unscathed. A couple cruise ships came to port today. Wow, are they a sight to behold.
