Thursday marked our last full day in Cabo San Lucas. We kicked the day off with breakfast at the hotel, as you do. Today’s special was a breakfast burrito, filled with eggs, cheese, and potatoes, and covered with a black bean sauce.
Kristen and Curtis headed off to the beach again. I stayed back to enjoy some sun at the pool and to feel my feelings alone, at the pool of solitude.
For lunch I met them at Las Mariscas. This time around I ordered coconut shrimp. It was good, but I wish I’d gotten the shrimp fajitas again.
An afternoon nap was required, especially after enjoying a couple of cocktails during lunch. I started off in the hammock, but in the late afternoon it gets chilly in the shade, so I came inside to finish the nap properly.
For dinner we went to Mi Casa. I decided to try something new: El Manchamanteles. Little did I know it was the Mexican version of BBQ. Not the biggest fan, and once again I found myself wishing I’d ordered something else, like Curtis’s seabass fillet in butter and garlic.
After dinner we walked back to the hotel, trekking up the daunting hill that led home one last time (seriously though, somehow everything here is uphill both ways). I prepared everything for an easy pack the next morning before going to bed.
