I’m Kinky, Part 2

Day three and I still can’t turn my head to the right. I called the BCBS nurse line and they told me to alternate cold and hot packs, take my favorite pain killers and perhaps get a massage, for up to 7 days or unless conditions worsen or symptoms change. I guarantee if Nick called for the same problem, they would tell him to go to the emergency room. In fact, they would probably offer to come pick him up and bring them there. Then they’d prescribe him about 10 different drugs: Percocet, Vicodin, steroids, allergy medication, eye drops, Lipitor, Nexium, Xanax, Zoloft and Levaquin. Then they’d take him out to lunch while they wait for everything to be filled, bring him home and tuck him into bed. Oh the burden of being a woman, it’s the price we pay for being able to tolerate pain!!

GW Shirts Are Here!!

The Girls’ Weekend shirts have come in and they are awesome!! The only thing that would make them awesomer is if they were being worn by us. I find it rather amusing that Nick can order shirts for softball and I have to haul them home in a couple of boxes. I order shirts for us girls and not only do they show up at my door, the entire order fits between the two doors. Aaahhh, it’s great to be a woman!!

Game 1

The Killer Beez had their first game of the season last night against Majors. Final score: 29-22

It went off without a hitch… almost. The Beez were pretty far ahead when a couple of the guys (who shall remain nameless) got greedy and decided to let Majors score a few runs so the game wouldn’t end early. But Majors ended up scoring more than a few and gave the Beez a run for their money. A few crummy plays, but good for the first game against a closely matched team.

Our cheer leading section is getting bigger with everyone popping out kids lately. New fans this year include Ella (9 months), Henry (1 month), and Smitty’s new girlfriend Debbie (20+? years), who I’m still not entirely convinced exists. Watch for the new Beez page, which will be up shortly when Nick fixes the computers, making it easier for me to manage jillapalooza.

Afterwards we grilled some burgers and watched the I-Falls video of Smitty falling, Marshall looking while he wipes, water-moon-bobbing, and Travis upchucking Pumpkin Pie flavored Jones Soda. Oh, and I got to use the line “there’s a party in my pants and everyone’s invited.” I’ve wanted to say that for so long!!
