On the way to work this morning I spotted another Sven & Ole’s bumper sticker, this time on the back of a green (or black… or was it blue?) Honda exiting on Brooklyn Blvd from southbound Hwy 169. Wow, two reported sightings in a month. Could this be the beginning of another bumper sticker invasion?
This is why I’m cold
This Minnesota weather is really starting to toy with my emotions. It’s nice, then it’s cold, nice, cold, nice, then there’s a snow storm, then it’s 60, 60, 70, 60, it rains, I paint my toe nails, then it’s 35 and snowing. Not exactly the weather I was hoping for when I intended to bust out my sandals today.
I’m just itching for it to be nice. I want cabin weather to be here. I want to wear sandals and skirts. I want to start diving again. Speaking of which, the cklahr duo is somewhere underwater as I blog this. Looking at fishies and corals and what not. *sigh*
Unfortunately Nick can’t relate to the way I feel because the weather is always the same in the room he’s been locked in playing WOW for the last 4 weeks.
Anyway, a lot has happened since I last posted. Nick and I went bowling with Adam, Laura, Smitty (who finally got an email address) and The Deebz. I upgraded to WordPress 2.5, which rocks. I made an all new Killer Beez website which I’ll be doing all my softball posts on. I’ve disabled my jillapaPhorum forum since the only thing on there was Beez posts and put up a forum (with the help of Curtis) on the Killer Beez site in lieu of. And that is just about it.
UPDATE: Just when I thought I’d never see another Sven & Ole’s bumper sticker, I spotted one on Friday on the back of a 1980s Plymouth Voyager, blue with wooden panel siding, heading south on 169.
You Can’t Hide From Me
Yesssssssssss. It’s been a long wait, but I’ve finally spotted more Sven & Ole’s bumper stickers!! I was on 35W heading south to the Mall of America this morning when I spotted a turquoise Saturn with two little yellow bumper stickers. I assumed it was just more start seeing motorcycle ones, but upon closer inspection I discovered that they were in fact Sven & Ole’s!! I think this should count for two sightings.
Sven & Ole’s Grand Marais
A couple of years ago I went to my uncle’s funeral in Grand Marais. Morbid way to start a post, I know. Anyway, one of my cousins worked at a pizza place there called Sven & Ole’s. Good pizza too by the way. He gave me a bumper sticker for the place. It’s bright yellow and says “Sven & Ole’s Grand Marais” on it.
Maybe you’re thinking, “I’ve seen one of those bumper stickers.” I see them all the time. In fact, I’m fairly confident I see them weekly. What blows my mind is that of all the bumper stickers in the world, I very rarely see duplicates. Unless of course there’s an election coming up. Why is it that I see these bumper stickers all the time?? Who are all these people that go to a pizza restaurant in Grand Marais, then put the restaurant’s ugly yellow bumper sticker on their vehicle??
I’ve been meaning to start keeping track of when I see them. I decided to start a Sven & Ole category so I could do just that in a nice paperless sort of way. You probably think that’s boring, but too bad. Go get your own blog if you don’t like my content.
S&O Sticker #1
Hwy 65 in Blaine
Sticker was in the drivers side back window of either an SUV or a topper of a pickup truck… I can’t remember because I was thinking of how shocked I was to see another one of those damn things.
